No Erica (also no injury notice/update which is unsurprising). UIW is winless and we look to be about on their level if not worse. 16-12 UIW.
16-13 UIW at the end of the first. Offense is either stand around for 20 seconds or try to get it inside to Mulkey.
Rice scores the first 5 in the 2nd, take a 18-16 lead.

After a timeout, UIW comes back to score 5 of their own.
Hopefully we can get a 25-8 quarter in our favor somewhere along the way today. Wouldn’t mind if we ran one off right now actually.

That would make it a 21-15 advantage for Rice in Q2. Good.
Langley's teams often seem to lack a killer instinct at times. Even without Erica, this should be a 20 point win on the road.
Regardless of result or opponent, playing without Erica should hopefully only help down the road. I'd like to see more aggressiveness when we beat the trap. Instead of pulling it out and playing out the shot clock, take that quick open wing three. Not like we get too many better looks out of our half court sets.
Erica hurt in practice the other day. Bob R just spoke with her.
Rice leads 60-48 (or 49?) after Q3.

How serious?
Rice wins 74-63.

She said ready for conference opener.
Women won by 11. Mulkey 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 blocks (might be a new team record?) in 28 minutes of action.
Good to get the W

Ties Neaves in 06.
Mulkey needed the work and minutes before conference play. Win is a win.

Shorter bench than usual, even with Erica out. Only 8 players saw the floor. Hope there aren’t new injuries or, please no, any academic eligibility issues.
Oh great, now we’ve got two “old owls”.

Kinda like our very own Statler & Waldorf?
