finally get thru the crap OOC games and start conference play...

Fri 12/28
#348 Southern @ #13 Marquette

Sat 12/29
#289 Howard @ #133 Georgetown
#81 Xavier @ #107 DePaul
#39 Butler @ #51 Florida
#26 St John's @ #59 Seton Hall

The St John's game obviously is huge. Win and all the narrative about their schedule goes away. Lose, and they're looking at game with Marquette where a loss and they're 0-2 and all the pressure in the world is on St John's.

The Butler game is big as well.... Butler doesn't want a 4th OOC loss. Also with how close SEC and Big East are- huge for that...

Xavier/DePaul will be really interesting to watch.
for those that don't think St John's/Seton Hall is huge....

for the loser of the game- KP's projected future wins-
St John's- 8.07
Seton Hall- 8.44

considering St John's needs 10 wins, how is that not huge? Maybe not quite as much for Seton Hall, BUT would be very possible to see them then start off 2-6.
The game officially sold out last night. I expect a very loud, very raucous pro-Hall arena tomorrow! SJU fans have never traveled very well, and Pirate fans are super energized after our OOC schedule. Should be a good one. I think the home court gives us the edge.

Think I saw the Hall is 13-1 at home vs St Johns in the last 20 years...

I really think the first 10 minutes or so will be really interesting. While 5 of the last 7 games for Seton Hall have been against Miami Louisville, Kentucky, Rutgers, and Maryland- and those athletes- same time period St John's saw UMES, Georgia Tech, Mount St Mary's, Princeton, Wagner, St Francis NY, and Sacred Heart.
