11 games in and Jones has 23 assists and only 7 turnovers! That is a 3.3 to 1 assist to turnover ratio for a true freshman. He has had 5 games this year without one single turnover in the game and in all of those he played at least 15 minutes (except UAB when he played 13). His first game with over 20 minutes played was against UTK, just the #3 team in the country, and had 5 assists and 1 turnover. In his first career start as a true freshman he had 6 assists and 1 turnover. So, over the last two games when Penny has turned him loose he has 11 assists and only 2 turnovers.

But ya, go ahead and tell us how turnover prone and stiff the kid is because he dribbles too upright. Doesn't pass the ole Shooters eye test, eh... My only assumption is that you do not watch much basketball as there are plenty of NBA players who play more upright, very similar to Jones.

How much of that playing time was as primary ball handler and against pressure or trap defense? Teams that we play twice a year will be looking for weaknesses. I think today if he were primary ball handler against Cincy’s 3/4 trap press, he would struggle. But I know the staff is working with him and I doubt he would be placed in that position anyway.

He has a very high ceiling as I have said. The rest of the season will tell the story. This was not a major flaw I was pointing out. Our major flaw is defense and every team we play and most knowledgeable fans know that.

He is racking up assists at a faster rate than anybody on the team. You do not do that if you are not handling the ball a lot while on the court. Jones is not off standing in the corner spotting up for threes...

Davenport, yuck, that's ugly dude, if not a typo? That's a turnover for every 5 minutes played or more than 8 by yourself if you played the whole game. Over 50 teams are averaging under 12/games and some less than Davenport.

Davenport's TO numbers are wrong. He had 56 TOs all last season. Kyvon has 21 TOs so far this season. Assist number also wrong.

He has 10 assists and 22 turnovers this year
