Well that's genuinely neat. It's like a conference all-star game but it'll go on for like a week.

Yeah- not to mention the practices going into the event....
Wonder who the assistants will be. Perhaps the young ones - Wojo and Steele? Or is it the Friars' staff?
yup, Wright is out given his commitment to the National team
one thing I'd say thinking about the roster- none of the guys like Ponds will be on the roster at all.- guys that are leaving after this year...…

I agree that Ponds would unlikely play if he agrees to enter the NBA Draft. Regarding his draft stock, some analysts have him as a very late-1st or early-2nd round pick, and a few others had him as a late 2nd round pick. It will be curious to see where he falls closer to the end of the season. It appears unlikely, at this point, that there will be any early entrants from other BE programs (but things can always change).
Based off the start (thus far) to this season, I would love to see some sort of combination involving:
Howard/Baldwin/Akinjo
Powell/Alexander/Reeves
Diallo/McDermott/Heron
S. Hauser/Marshall/Cosby-Roundtree
Jones/Brunk/Reed
It'll be interesting to see Powell. If he keeps on having games like he did with Kentucky and Rutgers he could easily be a flight risk....
1 thing to remember- I believe there is a 12 man limit to the roster for international competition... I could be wrong by that, but i'm not positive.

I don't see Powell projecting to defend well enough at the NBA level to get much pre-draft buzz. Potentially great college player, but really not big enough to defend NBA wings.
