When combining the NCAA's NET, Warren Nolan RPI and Ken Pomeroy Efficiency Ratings into one number, here's how the CAA looks as we near the start of conference play:
Composite Rank/ Team/ NET/ RPI/ KenPom Efficiency/ Composite
1. Charleston 79 63 110 84
2. Northeastern 133 104 101 112.7
3. Hofstra 118 159 113 130
4. Delaware 177 144 216 179
5. W&M 190 236 180 202
6. UNCW 206 187 229 207.3
7. JMU 202 226 219 215.7
8. Drexel 266 270 247 261
9. Towson 286 290 290 288.7
10. Elon 312 297 296 301.7
I'd say this is a pretty decent guess as to how things will shake out. Getting into the Top 6 is crucial, so despite how poorly we've played of late, I suppose it ought to be a little comforting that, per the numbers, we firmly look better than Drexel, Towson and Elon and about as good as W&M and JMU.
