Need to take back the Mallory Cup and keep in DeKalb for awhile, much as we have the Bronze Stalk.
Always wanted to make a road trip to both Miami and OHIO. Good spots to go next year ...especially with Utah, Nebraska, Vandy and these 2.
Man this MAC schedule really gets my juices flowing. Love this conference!
Very tough road schedule. CMU will improve with McElwain. Toledo is always good. Miami and Ohio should still be good. Tough schedule. Non-conference is also tough. Would be great to take one at least from either Nebraska, Vandy, or Utah.

Yeah, but this was known when the 2018 schedule was released. You flip-flop the west games and the same with whoever you played in the east.

2020 will change. West games will be as they were this year with UT and CMU at home plus away games at BSU, EMU and WMU. Then, in 2020 your east crossovers will be vs UB, KSU and BGSU. Two of those will be at home and one on the road. The big question will be which are at home and when????

I think with improvement at the QB position and a few key players coming back we can beat Nebraska, Vandy & Utah.

If coaching staff can adopt a more aggressive offensive philosophy and put players in position to succeed, good things can happen next year. It's all about coaching
Assuming Childers continues to improve and Smith comes back for his senior year, we are losing minimal players. We will need a kicker as well. In my eyes, Childers played a solid second half in the championship game. If he can do it once, he can do it again. He just needs to be consistent. I beleive we can play with NW and Vandy. I am not so sure about Utah on the road. However, we were in the game this year. O-line will also need to improve. Time will tell on how well we can do, but I think we have a solid team for 2019.
Nebraska is the game that scares me. Seems like it will be tough to beat them two times in a row. Man, that would be so sweet. Nebraska got some of their sea legs back in the 2nd half of this season w Frost
What a home schedule next year: Illinois State, Akron, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan

Looking forward to the Vandy and Nebraska road trips.

Ironically, the ISU game may draw the largest attendance.

The evolution of Carey to me is the make or break point for next season. If conservative/scared approach continues, NIU will continue to dwell at bottom of FBS offense. It all rests on coaching.
