I was looking at FBS future schedules and noticed no section for the 2021 season for WMU. Have they really not scheduled any of the non conference schedule? I couldn't find anything after a little searching.

It is a ways out but a lot of teams already have at least a couple games slotted that far out.

Well anytime a P5 school is mildly criticized for not playing any competitive non con games we get told that these games are scheduled 10-15 years in advance. There is no way we will be able to fill a schedule given the many complexities of college football scheduling that hamper any effort at meaningful reform.
Plenty of MAC teams like Toledo, NIU, Miami have lots of games locked in including some quality home games.
I don't think it's necessarily that we can't Find anyone. Otherwise, we'd only see a D1AA in there. I think we're just juggling between some teams.
Iowa and Arkansas both have open spots on their 2021 schedule.
So does Nebraska.

And Cincinnati.

And Kansas State.

And Stanford.

And Purdue.
Boston College, too. That would be cool.

Temple.

South Florida.

East Carolina.

UCF has a lot of availability in 2021!
For some reason, WMU has never scheduled nonconference football games that far in advance. Not sure why that is.
I know there’s a date with Notre Dame on the schedule... not sure what year.
ND is 2020.

I was thinking the same, it's always been this way.

Seems like we've gotten into a pattern of 2 P5s, 1 G5 (home and home) and 1 FCS per season, which I think is a good combo.
Heard we picked up a game at the Big House in 2021. Lame...
Iowa in 2023 and Illinois in 2025

Yes, Michigan Stadium is lame.

Possibly the most over-hyped, over-rated and over-priced facility in all of college football.

Yep.

This last year I sat around a bunch of season ticket holders. To my shock, they all said that the WMU Bronco Marching Band was much better than the UofM band. One of the guys said, "look, it's the most over-rated marching band in America."

Never expected to hear that!

Whoa!

Rational Michigan fans?! I can believe in the future of Mankind again.
Midwest dominated OOC schedule in the coming years. The days of more travel-intensive (and more expensive) trips such as USC and FSU are probably history.

I wish we wouldn't play UM anymore. I hate the vibes leading up to that game. The Bronco alumni-turned-Walmarter encounter anecdotes, the local media UM cheerleading, etc.

Oh, but if we were to somehow beat the wretched bastards....!

“Local Media” ? Please tell who that would be.
