How does the Hunt saga affect recruiting? The story is still on ESPN every day and also in newspapers. I'm sure UT sends out material that features NFL players to recruits. They are likely scrubbing his name from that and the web site, but I'm sure recruits are asking.
Doubt it affects us at all. If he was a bad actor here and the staff pulled a Meyer-at-Florida and ignored it instead of suspending him some parents may give pause but I don’t think the situation as it stands will affect us at all. I still remember Hunt imploring the coach to put in rarely used RB Brad ? late in a blow-out, which seemed classy. Hard to picture him as a repeatedly violent guy.
When you have jack-offs like Terry Bradshaw tying what Hunt did to the university on national TV, it certainly doesn't help.

What it does is to take away a significant public relations initiative for the football program. What can be better than to tell a reluctant recruit the MAC and Toledo players are playing at a level which can get them to the NFL. If we don't promote that Hunt is from Toledo not many outside the Toledo family will know it. And it appears that PR benefit has been lost.

Ohio HS coaches will know, plus any others coaches that received recruiting material for their players.

Saw that...what a tool.
I don't think it has much of an effect on recruiting. The allegations being talked about all happened after he went to the NFL. That doesn't show a lack of control or discipline within the Toledo football program. Recruits still know that Hunt came from Toledo and was tearing it up in the NFL.

Only downside is that Toledo probably does not promote him in publication anymore and that takes away a bit from future recruiting in that the recruits aren't going to hear about a Toledo RB that went to the NFL and led the league in rushing as a rookie.
