His opinion has been that we won't win many games with AC getting a lot of minutes because of the limited offense he brings.

Why does he have to be a former or current coach to come up with that and be correct and believable?
(He doesn't)

He takes criticism but let me give you the positive. It doesn’t matter who starts in men’s college basketball. Carver is very smart. He’s an engineering major taking a full load. That said Jeff said he has the highest basketball IQ on the team. He knows what’s going on on the court at all times. He doesn’t look for a shot. Scoring is other peoples job, he knows that. His job is defend and rebound. He’s very strong, no one pushes him around. He did hit a 3 against UNI. He took one against UNI in the home game and Jeff pulled him. He’s way above average ball handler and dribbling and will bring the ball up court when necessary. He’s not on the floor at games end. Jeff goes with a 4 guard offense and Dickens. So 10-14 minutes he does his job well

10-14 minutes is perfectly fine.

Out of curiosity, what is your coaching background? You seem to have a coaching philosophy & have a belief that you know how many minutes each guy should get, so I am wondering what coaching tree you came from?

0 coaching experience in basketball, but an opinion I post on a message board. I show up to pretty much every game and support the team, no matter who is on the court. Would I ever tell JJ I know more about who should play and who shouldn't...HELL NO. What I can do is go to a place, where I can share my opinions that don't matter to anyone on the coaching staff. If you would like, I can stop sharing my thoughts on the game. Is that what you are aiming for? If it is, let me know, and I'll do my best to make sure you feel really comfortable about reading the things I post.

Just wondering why a guy who has never coached thinks they know more about distribution of minutes then a coach.

You’re more then welcome to post your opinion, but when you constantly bring up Carver’s minutes and your belief that he plays too much, etc it’s annoying. Especially since you have no idea how to construct a lineup.

But since you’re a super fan who goes to every game, you’re obviously the next Phil Jackson

TBH posts like these are 1000x more annoying than what 757 was saying. We aren't allowed to discuss players because we aren't coaches? That makes total sense.
Stephen A Smith has made a career/brand by never coaching a game (even though he was a former player).

New rule. You can't question foul calls either, since you've never reffed a game at the D1 level. Nor can you criticize whoever's the president or your senator or your mechanic or your doctor or the police. You can only question others in your field of expertise.
The idea that you can't criticize a coach and be correct is beyond absurd. It assumes that coaches are never wrong, never make bad decisions, never are blinded by their personal biases, and that even in the rare instance that they MAY be wrong, you are not qualified to identify that mistake unless you too are a coach.
Well, this is an interesting thread now. You may have noticed I said before the VCU game that J. Wade would have a good game. How did I know that you ask? Simple. I have prior coaching experience. As a matter of fact, I've never lost a game. I was head coach for the famous Eastern Academy powder-puff senior vs junior class football game back in 1972. That's right, I was the head dude. I knew what to do too. Even those those pesky juniors scored first on some kind of razzle dazzle play that tricked the head coach to start the game, that was it for them. Being such a fantastic head coach, I knew just what to do. Give the ball to this lady named Deanna something or other EVERY single play since she was what you would call now a days, an athlete .
So, we scored something like 42 points in a row on those hapless juniors.

And you know why? Because Mac can flat out coach, that's why!

PS- The good guys will win again tomorrow night too.

Oh yeah? My favorite Cheers character was Coach.
I was coached in HS and college. I called all of my coaches, "coach."

So I'm right.
Everyone knows the best coaches played the game. I played in middle school, one year I had two 3’s in a row. Another year our team finished 3rd. So please defer coaching questions to me.
My first name is Coach
How many of yall have a city championship?

I don't, but I rode a Div 1 athletes coattails to a championship game loss as a 9 year old. Kid scored 28 of our 40 points. Think I'm qualified. We ran some really intriguing sets.

Same people who were saying no one could question a drunk ass Blaine Taylor, it is what it is, a nobody trying to play message board cop.

Like clockwork, RRM takes a break from pleasuring himself and comes out and adds nothing of value.

Missed your banter during the JMU win, but i forgot you only show up when you can ***** about Jones or Wood.

Come on. He never said he knew more than Jones. He simply gave an opinion (which, he later learned isn't all that off from what Jones is actually doing).

Yes, I think AC is unfairly criticized on here, as most fans only think that the only contribution a player can make is by scoring points, but I didn't think saying, "I wish we played more 4-guard lineups" was saying that Carver was a useless bum or taking an over-the-top shot at him.

If we can't give our opinions on things, even if they are wholly unqualified opinions, we might as well shut down the board.

Every damn post he ******* about Carver’s playing time. Why? We get it. He doesn’t think Carver is good enough to play D1.

You see the block button? Try utilizing that if you’re annoyed by me.

Or you could stop complaining about Carver’s playing time. EVERY. DAMN. GAME.
