Great to see the team get to a bowl game. Montgomery is a location that is well not as good as the Bahamas for the players but easily accessible for the fans, only a 10 hour drive.
I don't think we can fit 15 practices in 2 weeks before the game but I know the extra practice time will help out the team.
As the coaching carousel spins I don't think we are out of the woods yet of Creighton or our DC getting poached.
Basketball is on the struggle bus but if we are honest its a 1 bid league maybe 2 with buffalo all about being ready for conference play.
Depot town is an awesome area and I would encourage all alums over the holiday season if back in town to take a walk or eat a meal there. Excited to see what the old thompson block brings in terms of more restaruants.

That is all my musings from the pub.
I am afraid to even mention Creighton on public boards during the carousel season, but then I realize that the programs that would really need a proven long-term rebuilder (Kansas, etc) are still under a "let's hire lightning in a bottle" delusion.

The schools I worry about to poach Creighton.
Kansas State
Iowa State (if campbell goes to the Browns)
Fresno State if Tedford goes to the Packers.

Kansas State will most likely hire Seth Littrell.

I don't think Creighton has had enough success to be hired away. Yet. He's getting close.

Once he gets EMU to a MAC Championship appearance, all bets are off.

Fresno has our former OC and ÖL coaches

I concur. Even then, it will have to be a program in nearly the same situation we were all in when Lyke hired him. Ron English hadn't just failed, he had failed in a way that authorized Lyke to avoid the pressure of setting up another "hot" OC from a P5 school for failure.
