I hate the blue turf too. I'm alright with the other colored turfs. I actually like the grey EMU has. It looks like game is in black and white, but colorized uniforms. The blue just looks bad.

Very similar to EMU in terms of having a good defense but a less than stellar offense. Their offense appears to be very hot or cold.

On the bright side for us, they have one mobile QB but no runners! No real dominate deep threats. They are still quite talented, talented enough to beat Wisconsin.

Happy for the team/players to get a bowl. Lucked out with NIU getting selected for an at large bowl bid otherwise WMU would be sitting home.

Still very disappointed that 2 years removed from the Cotton Bowl, WMU is now thought of as a lesser bowl candidate than EMU even with the same record and a head to head win. That’s about as bad as it gets and a major indictment against the WMU athletic department.

I don't think we can be sure of that, even if it appears that way. No way of knowing why the negotiations worked out the way they did behind closed doors.

At least EU has some experience defending the triple option, having played Army a few weeks ago. They actually did a decent job.

Detroit News essentially reported that WMU was last MAC team in, and wouldn't have gotten a blow had NIU not gotten the at large.
