Rockets finish 2nd (out of 18 teams) in the Grand Valley State Open. Most of the teams aren't Division I; of those that are, I'm thinking they might not have competed in every event. For instance, Michigan State finished next to last with 4 points.

it’s typical to split teams up and have your heavy hitters run in big meets while giving your second tier athletes a shot in lesser meets. Any meet that keeps team scores is probably a “lesser” meet. The All-Ohio is a good example. Open to every school in the state, OSU often sends one or two athletes and the Baldwin-Wallace’s of the world have lots of winners.
