About 400-500 kids here. About 50_75 students if include the dance team, cheerleaders and band.
Nancy and Olivia still out.
End of 1st, tied 12-12.
We really aren't very good when Erica is off the court.
Wonder if Mulkey is actually gonna play at some point. Team looks alright so far
Quick first half. Don't recall either team calling a time out.

Rice 30
New Orleans 28
Halftime

Need to make adjustments.
Just noticed that Ellig is suited up for the first time.
Rice has started the 3rd strong, up 47-33.
Rice 55
New Orleans 40
End of 3rd
Ellig is in the game.
Rice leading 65-49, 4:51.
Erica pretty much a one-woman show today for Rice: 28 points, 11 boards. Wiggins and Grigsby each with 11 points.
Team needs to settle down and run some clock instead of frantically passing the ball around the court to get a shot
Kind of happy that Langley ran out a more inexperienced lineup at the end of the game. They clearly showed inexperience (quick shots, bad TOs, etc.) but best way to learn is to throw them in the fire. Defense was fine. Felt like UNO threw up a bunch of heaves that went down.

I'm just frightened to think of what would happen if Erica gets hurt. This team needs her to play 35+ minutes every game, which is a problem.

* Also should note that Alao played much better today. I've been critical of her, but she finished her chances today and made some good passes out of the high post.

67-56 but that probably flatters UNO. It was pretty comfortable from midway through the 3rd.

67 - 56. A good solid road win against decent team, but we need more balance. What in the world has happened to Nicole, who has been virtually invisible this year, despite playing the same minutes as last year?

Looks like teams are finally playing her as solely a shooter. Hugging her off every screen and she doesn't have the quickness to beat her defender. But she also has turned down looks she probably would've shot in the past.
It was a home game Walt. And you're probably being generous to New Orleans. They lost by 52 at Pitt, and lost to UL-Monroe by 13.

I do wonder about Nicole as well although she finally had a good game last week vs. McNeese State. I suspect her grad classes are imposing a bit on her basketball game somehow. The thing is if she doesn't get it going, we've got a true freshman in Swayze who can take away her minutes.
We won. Go watch the guys if you want to throw up.
