Not saying we're not guilty of penalties, but these games haven't been called both ways.

Penalties for Miami, WMU, and Buffalo

NIU 19 - 206 yards

Opp 4 - 25 yards

Not calling it both ways.
Wowza...
And perhaps NIU needs to be more disciplined too. Some of the penalties were bogus, the worst was the Corcoran targeting call against the boat rowers.

This^^^^. +100000

There’s no way 3 straight opponents have nearly perfectly clean games while Niu gets at least 5 ridiculous calls against them that shouldn’t have been penalties.
The helmet-off call against Kramer was ridiculous.

And the flop by the Buffalo player.....and the phantom running into the kicker

All of those.
The officiating was aggregious. I haven't made up my mind which is worse - the no calls on holding (committed against our d-line) or the phantom calls. The combination of both really is pathetic.04-chairshot

Sean needs to step up and use his voice in the Official evaluation process.

On a lighter note, how about the official not being able to find his flag on the interference call in the endzone? I was dying...
NIU definitely go the shaft from the refs at the end of the season. So ready to be out of the MAC.

At some point you can and have to live with a bad call. They happen. But the list of bad calls in this game, and for a good portion of the season...especially late in the season, is too long of a list to forgive or overlook.

I can't get on board with a conspiracy, because the dynamics of that don't make sense. But something is rotten in MACtown and it needs to be addressed.

Yeah, I made the comment, "how in the hell do you not know where your flag is???" Like, why don't you put it in the exact same spot? Do you just randomly place it on your belt? These refs are as bad at putting their flag in an accessible spot on their belt as they are at, well......a lot of things apparently.

Unfortunately Enrollment and Fan support is what is holding the program back. We are not in a position to move to the AAC even if UC/USF get the call.

That was the correct call. He lost his helmet while on the ground, got up, and pursued the play without his helmet. That is a penalty. Once your helmet comes off, you are no longer able to participate in the play.
