Thought it would be useful to have a thread for all the coaching change updates.

- Texas Tech hired Utah St Matt Wells, was hoping he might end up in AAC. He had experience at Tulsa and Navy. Oh well. Another promising young offensive mind to be forgotten in Lubbock

- ECU seems to be in the lead for JMU HC Mike Houston. The guy is young, is a proven winner, knows how to recruit the area, and most importantly is successful outside the p5 spotlight. I love the fit.

- Ken Wisenhunt is being looked at for the GT position, really hope Geoff Collins doesn't bolt for that one.

- Other teams left with vacancies to worry about: Louisville, Maryland, Colorado.

Fingers cross we retain everyone and upgrade the league overall with new ECU HC, Houston DC, and Tulane OC.

This is the most stable offseason I can remember in league history, could mean big things going into a contract defining season- good or bad. 02-13-banana
What about Norvell?

What about Norvell lol
I think if David Blackwell is not retained by ECUs new HC, Houston could try and get him. Applewhite tried to talk to him for a while after our game.

Yep. Orlando
Brent Key is rumored for the GT job. Joke is on them if he gets it.
Pretty wild no one is looking at Lance Leipold of Buffalo.
I'm surprised that Seth Littrell hasn't been scooped up yet too.

Littrell is rumored to be headed to Kansas State.
None of the big programs are poaching coaches this year. Feels like AAC schools are pretty safe.
Thread is not legit until I hear David St's thoughts.

Damn it.

You're on the wrong board again.

But thanks for the NET boost.
I am not sure about the other coaches but I think Fickell is about a year away as a serious contender for most p5 programs. Another ten win season and he will be on the radar for mid tier p5. A top ten finish places him in the blue blood programs. The good news for Cincy is that we can pay reasonably close to lower tier and mid tier p5. If we can keep our coaches from leaving for Iowa State or Northwestern, we should be able to hold onto them for a long time. No school can beat the blue blood allure, but these opportunities are rare.

Were you there? My wife commented on how obnoxious UConn fans were. Too bad the weather was crap that day, it killed attendance...still more Cuse fans.

Don't worry we'll give you a boost the rest of the season as we are playing better with Frank Howard back.

I like Fickell perfect coach for Cincy. I hope he stays awhile and brings you a few AAC titles.
