David and Garden City will be playing tonight on CBSSports at 7pm against Last Chance U., AKA East Mississippi for the JUCO national championship. His stats this year are roughly 800 yards passing, 6 TDs, 5 picks, 66%, rushed for very few yards and 5 more scores. Garden City is the top rushing team in the country with two runners 1 and 2 in the country (roughly 1,350 each).

David has three offers at this point according Rivals, Albany, UT Martin and Texas State.

i will say i was one of the people who was upset to see him leave because i felt his running threat would add another dynamic to our offense; however, he hasnt really separated himself at the juco level
Update:

Last night vs. East Mississippi Community College (playoff game) Garden City loses 10-9.

David Moore was 2 for 10 with 16 yards passing. 2 Int's. 1 sack. 2 fumbles. 2 rushes for 58 yards.

while i agree his stats havent been impressive, i wonder if he is surrounded by better players if he would be better. ive heard from everyone "theyre in the juco championship they have to be good" and i cant get down with that fully. GC is a big rushing team, in fact had 2 rbs over 1300 yards each. maybe if hes surrounded by better talent he could display himself more?
He was obviously surrounded by good juco players... they were playing in the National title game.

that would make sense if GC was a passing team... their leading receiver has 200 yards. they run the ball very heavily. not a big passing team.

I don't care who he's surrounded with-- that stat line is HORRID. 4 turnovers and only 2 completions?

Halftime stats. LOL.

Wherever he decides to go for his sake he should pick a school without a decent quarterback.

so far his offers arent that great; however, Garden City was not a great place for him to go to show his skills to be honest...unless he was trying to get a georgia tech offer (before johnson retired)

Your right.
He struggled mightily last night, I felt bad for him. Heck EMCC was blitzing corners which meant they essentially had nine guys in the box, they didn't even bother really trying to put up a pass defense. I also did not like his mechanics, he seems to have regressed since last summer. I hope he gets some good advice and picks a school where he can get a great education and can work towards a great life. Good luck to him.

honestly i think it was late in the year for him to transfer somewhere decent so he had to go to a place soon and landed at GC. i will say if he were to take the UTM offer, they have a few qbs on roster so he would have a battle.

Yeah, being on the 5th rated rushing attack in the nation would be a horrible place for him and his talent level.

Don't forget he went 5-23 in the first fall practice.

This still makes me think of people insisting that Memphis would've been in a bowl game had Fuente only played Piano Man all season.

As I was reading this thread I was thinking the exact same thing:-)

dont get me wrong, im not saying moore is a great qb. i just think that if he considers himself to be a great passer, that was probably not the offense to go to. there's a reason kyler murray didnt transfer to georgia tech.
I am shocked that the qb competition was even a competition. Should have announced in spring that Moore wouldn't be the starter as bad as he is playing.

I was one of the Free Piano Man people. Honestly, lots of parallels between him and Brady White-- both tend to make good decisions, are safe with the ball, and have lower ceilings and higher floors, overall. As you can see with Moore, the floor is abysmally low. Glad our program did not move in that direction.
