Do you remember our last trip to Columbus and how we got completely screwed. Chris Moore ruled until he was not allowed. That game was a disgrace to those who claim any possibility of fair judging. Just like Roberts shows he is a fool to claim there are no Obama judges.

We will have to win by 20 to prevail, just like Congressional elections.

Fairness in 2018 America is a complete delusion.

We will get hosed - unless we win by 20.

Pretty sure that game in no way pivoted on that call.

Entertaining game, but not a game we were in anyway screwed out of.

That's up to debate...

- Bosa plants the crown of his helmet in Kiel's jaw, fumble ends up as a safety. No targeting call.
- Jared Evans throws another TD to Chris Moore. No flag was thrown. Refs huddle and call illegal man downfield. Still no flag was ever thrown.
- Score is 36-28 late third qtr. UC driving. Johnny Holton blasting past Vaughn Bell who has to hold him to prevent yet another TD pass. Refs call Holton for offensive PI. Drive killed.

Adjust the score to those calls alone and it's 48-42. So no, you just can't shrug off the refs about that game.

I had forgotten how atrocious and game changing some of those calls were. The Holton one was so baffling watching from the stands. You see him toast the OSU defender and the OSU defender did the smart thing and just grabbed on for dear life (In college it's only 15 yards and that is a TD waiting to happen). For the ref to arrive at offensive PI on that play was one of the craziest things I've every witnessed.

Seems to be all but confirmed at this point.

WKU has been a solid jumping off point for those that succeed there. Helton wasn't great at UT, but i guess we'll see.

Colorado: Mike MacIntyre ->
North Carolina: Larry Fedora -> Mack Brown
Maryland: DJ Durkin ->
Louisville: Bobby Petrino ->
Texas Tech: Kliff Kingsbury -> (Brent V, Jim L)
Kansas: David Beatty -> Les Miles

Western Kentucky: Mike Sanford -> Helton
Massachusetts: Mark Whipple ->
Charlotte: Brad Lambert ->
Texas State: Everett Withers ->
Bowling Green: Mike Jinks ->
Central Michigan: John Bonamego -> (ND asst coach)

The only opening I've seen where CLF was even mentioned was UofL.

Yeah. We got so hosed it wasn't even funny. We knew going in the refs weren't going to help, but they had some awful calls that just screamed, we must protect O$U. Usually they just swallow whistles or make some iffy calls, bit so much call penalties without a shred of evidence like the illegal man downfield and especially the OPI.
My initial impression is that the Carousel "churn" is a little less frantic this year (so far). Not a lot of really high profile openings causing a churn, and several retreads - Les Miles and Brown - going for some of those openings.

Best of luck to (now) Coach Helton! It's always a good thing to see people who have ties to UC succeed and get their shot at running their own programs.

Speaking of former UC connections...Walter Stewart has been making a serious impact at NIU this year. DL Coach for the team that's #1 in sacks and #7 in TFLs on the season in the FBS, and coaching the #4 player in the country by sack count.
Any chance that Mickens goes back to BGSU as head coach?

That would be a pretty significant leap for him/BG.
He’s a position coach. He’ll probably make the jump to DC first.

No OSU Assoc AD

PS: I never had servants, wife's family had cook/housekeeper and a gardener/driver
Off topic: Hiring someone to periodically clean your house is the best investment you will ever make.
This seems like a shorter list than I remember from past years (faulty memory is a possibility).
I have to wonder what part the early signing day for HS seniors has to do with it. When LF was hired, he had several weeks after the CFP games to get his staff finished and his class together. Now with most HS kids signing in mid December, will that deter some of the firing and moving?

I would not bet on Vrabel pulling a Harbaugh.
LOUISVILLE UPDATE......

http://footballscoop.com/news/update-lou...ead-coach/

Sources tell FootballScoop that Brohm, through his agent, put that chip on the table in discussions with Louisville about their opening. Brohm wants years and dollars commensurate with what they see as a process that will take time to rebuild. The ask, we’re told, is meaningful but not what anyone in major college football these days would consider over the top. Thus far, Louisville’s side has maintained that there are other viable options who would accept less and that Brohm should be “more reasonable.”

The song and dance continue, but we have been told that Louisville has put a mid-week “deadline” for a decision from Brohm. Deadlines spur action. If he isn’t willing to commit, Louisville has told Brohm they will move on to further discussions with other candidates. It is worth mentioning however that Brohm’s buyout reduces by $1.1 million either on or after Dec. 5, which is next Wednesday

Should Brohm not accept the job, the two names sources continue to tell FootballScoop are at the ready are App State head coach Scott Satterfield and Troy head coach Neal Brown. Both are proven head coaches who have won with far less resources than Louisville has to offer.

There are few, if any, Group of 5 coaches with hotter names and track records than these two above.

The other name that has been in the wind a bit regarding Louisville should Brohm not accept the job is Luke Fickell, who just had an exceptional season in Year 2 at Cincinnati going 10-2 when no one (other than his squad) was expecting anything near that. Fickell is a leader, but he comes from the defensive side of the game and Louisville seems wed to that offensive game.
Louisville pays a lot of money, but Fickell going there seems like a very bad fit. That place is scandal-ridden and sleazy. If you like getting up in the morning and feel like you've been sleeping in horse manure, maybe UofL might be attractive. I think a bigger risk for UC is Brohm takes the UofL slot and Purdue comes after Luke.

Possible. But I just don't see Fickell leaving this year. Ten wins against next year's schedule and he'll be on the radar for much more appealing jobs than either Louisville or Purdue.
