Sweet!
Looks great. A lot of the similar carpet, wall, bar designs as UC’s new arena which I love. Really love the bowl design of your arena. Somewhat unique looking in the 2nd picture.
Did the re-opening sell-out?
Looks top notch. Why is the ceiling so low? Either way it looks like it'll be a loud home arena.

Ceiling has always been low in Hofheinz Pavilion/Fertitta Center. We can generate a ton of noise with only 2-3,000 fans. We can also get pretty quiet too. I prefer the noise. The noise from a full Hofheinz was deafening and hair raising.
Hofheinz Pavilion (pre-Fertitta Center) for comparison.

2-3000 fans? This isn't supposed to be a high school facility is it?

Seating capacity ~8400.
Looks good! Is the new seating capacity 8,400 or was it slightly reduced? Haven't read on the new figure.
I've never traveled to Houston for basketball, but I've seen lots of games on TV that appeared to only have a few hundred fans in attendance. Can y'all fill up this arena?

About as likely as UCONN filling up their football stadium.

Any Marquee match up this season OOC-wise for Houston at the new Arena? ESPN2, ESPN3? So that we can watch on TV?

7100 is the new capacity.

But fans are closer to the court now.

Plus there's a student section right on the court (first 4 rows below the retaining wall show on the right in Pic 3 and the left in Pic 4). Room for 300-400 students.

Should be a great college atmosphere with professional arena amenities.

After season tickets and students, there's only a couple of thousand single game tickets available for each game.

In fact, no Oregon or LSU single game tickets have been released. If you want those games, you have to buy a mini-package.

Eventually, the goal is to sell out on a season ticket + student basis. We might need to make another NCAA tournament (or two?) before that's a reality.
You tha MAN... Thanks for the info, CougarRed 04-cheers
Nice arena, our local team Utah State plays there sometime in December.
