Marshall may be playing at noon on Dec. 1st too. From Brett McMurphy on Twitter: “If Virginia Tech (4-6) beats Virginia on Friday, the Hokies will host Marshall at noon on Dec. 1 to try and get bowl eligible. If Virginia beats Tech, the Virginia Tech-Marshall game will not be played.”
I think there’s $1.4 mil being offered to Marshall.
Supposedly $1.4 million whether it happens or not.

That seems to be the prevailing standard pay out for a G5 "lamb" these days.
As I recall, Va Tech has already been beaten this year by one or our conference mates (ODU comes to mind),,, Im rooting for a repeat with Marshall winning another one if they get to play the game.

Marshall gets 300k if they play the game with the Hokies. They get 100K even if the game isn’t played. Also, Virginia Tech will make a trip to Marshall as a part of an additional home and home series.

Hoping Florida State gets beat by Florida and Va Tech loses either this Saturday or against Marshall so that ACC has open bowl spots. I’d like for UAB to take one of their spots in a higher profile bowl.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I would want UAB to do it in the same circumstances.
VaTech wins today. Marshall get ready.
