Coach Clark said on the news yesterday that Tyler would start Saturday with the hope that the extra week of rest would help AJ get ready for the two big conference games remaining, but that AJ would be available if called upon Saturday
Well...... we’ll really get to see what Johnston is made of
Shocked. Shocked I tell ya.
They are going to come up with coverages and blitzes not currently known to mankind
That makes me nervous, first time for him playing in that kind of environment on a national stage. O-Line needs to step up and we need to establish the run. I think our defense can help keep us in the game.
This game is for $$$ anyway ..and it will be good experience for him
this game is only important for a top 25 ranking and bragging right
the goal is to get the cusa at home first
First play of the game, play-action bomb to Ubosi.

Not outside the realm of possibility. This is one of those games you can fun with

hand off to the rb for 1 yard gain

I’d love that play call.
When that bomb bombs,,, try a draw play on 2nd and 10.
Followed by a 5 yard pass that ends up 4 yards short of the 1st down.

After Starling Thomas V comes up just short on a 99 yard kickoff return? I like the way you think, UABFRENCHY
Well that's Good, Tyler is a winner and has been their before, If he can keep his interceptions down to zero.., That would be great. Like the Scheme.

I would be absolutely stunned if we got anything going in the running game. Our defense is the only thing that gives me some hope, but if feels like we are outmatched in a lot of key areas.

I agree with you and even our defense is going to start struggling if we can make some first downs on offense. But maybe we can get some turnovers and give ourselves a chance late in game. Go out there, keep it close for 3 quarters and we will get a ton of good publicity . Pick up a big payday and finish the season winning conference USA!
We might get completely blown out, but there's still always a chance.

-Southern Miss hung around with Auburn into the 4th quarter and Auburn beat A&M
-A&M only beat Arkansas by a TD. Arkansas was driving in the 4th before they threw an INT to end the game

ALWAYS A CHANCE lol

I would like us to do more short yardage passing. On a couple of drives late in the 4th quarter last week we had some success throwing <10 yards to Pittman since we couldn’t run the ball. We don’t have to go downfield every time...although it does act like a punt when Johnston gets picked off. 05-stirthepot
aTm has a damn good defense. Our offense is nowhere near as good as some of the SEC teams they've played.

We need to play a near perfect game. No turnovers, no 100+ yards in penalties. Johnston has to handle pressure well.

It's a winnable game, but it's still probably 85% that the Aggies win. That's ok as long as we don't take injuries this late in the season. This was a body bag game anyhow. Going in 9-1 is unexpected, and I'd love to win this game, but I'm ok if we lose as long as we come back and whup MUTS the following week.
tamu IS BIG 12 team ,,they are struggling in the sec because they dont have sec defense players .....they are still good
we will see how good we are if the ref call a penalty of us on every play
