The SMU matchup worries me more than our game against Houston.

Houston also opens as a 10.5 favorite against Tulane.

Don't worry, we beat them every yr by an average of 40 points. Just match up well with them.

It's a night game and the temperatures have been in the mid 40's here in Dallas. Should be pretty cold Friday night. Maybe 47 to 45 at game time. Today, the wind chill factor made it feel even colder.
One promising factor is that SMU is something like 88th against the run this year.

38 in Memphis last Saturday. Our offense looked just fine.
I can understand that line. While SMU did take Cincy to OT and beat Houston by two TDs, Houston didn't have multiple defensive starters during that game. Last week they gave up 50 to UConn, which is only the third time they scored more than 20 in a game all season (once was against Rhode Island).

We are coming off beating Tulsa by their biggest conference loss margin 26 (which 11 more than Houston which was their previous worst conference loss) and scored more on them than any other team.

While I'm not writing off SMU at all, I've watched parts of several Houston games and am worried about them torching us and it looking like Missouri. Yeah, they're a little discombobulated right now, so I hope that keeps up. Or rather, that it re-appears after they beat Tulane.

Any early success out of the lassoing game should open things up and we could gain 300 on the ground.
It seems SMU's offense has improved. But I believe their D is just as bad as always. Could be a shootout. Or if the D shows like they did last week, it could be another Tulsa.
This game scares me. SMU beat both Navy and Tulane and we lost to both. The Tigers are going to have to earn this one.
Winning is hard...
If our offensive line plays well we will run them off the field...as is our custom.

The high on Friday in Dallas is in the upper 60s....weather will not be a factor.

If we are playing on the road it is.
Tigers can win, just need both the Defensive and Offensive lines to keep their heads in the game. Offensive line needs to, so Henderson can have a crease. The Defensive line needs to, because if the line doesn't hold, it opens up the defense to many different defensive issues.
