After going 2-8 so far this year...the new Louisville AD Vince Tyra pulled the plug on Petrino...and fired him...along with 3 assistant coaches related to Petrino.
Reportedly, they are going to go after Jeff Brohm at Purdue.
They di have a list of other coaching options...1 that includes Memphis coach Mike Norvell.

Its a shame Petrino had to be fooling around with students at Arkansas. He had the hogs in contention for a national title.

I'm not a particularity fan of Arky or Ole Miss, but it was nice to see both programs getting so good in recent years. Now they are both back to mediocrity.

It would have been a lot of fun to have both teams staying near top 10 status and the tigers getting steady rivalry games year in and year out.

It takes all the air out it now, and there isn't even much reason to play them again.
