Two run plays in a row??? We are losing by 10 and we get conservative.

JL really blew it not redshirting Mitchell. At this point Sean still looks like a high school player on the field. Should be 20 lbs heavier.

20lbs wouldn’t stop him from making stupid throws... Don’t try to Tuesday afertnoon quarterback. Shon has helped us win some games the past two years and gained valuable experience which has benefited him more than a year in the weight room would have.

I complained about this decision last fall the same day JL burned the redshirt during a season that had no chance of leading to the playoffs. Opinions can differ, but we’ve won a total of six games over two years. I’d much rather have had him more confident, stronger, and with three more years to play. It was a bad decision. JL threw him out there in a foolish attempt to win a few more games in a losing season. One of the few decisions where i’ve strongly disagreed with him.

They've won I believe 2 of the games Mitchell has started. His numbers have been bad. I'm not sure he's benefitted from two seasons of getting his brains beaten in by bad line play and making lots of bad throws.

Concur. The kid has ability. Playing him was selfish and stupid as a true freshman. Short term thinking. Will bite us in the ass big time if he develops under a new staff.

All that said - pretty small criticism given all Coach accomplished.

JL deserved better than that. Enjoy your retirement, coach.

I don't want to call out any particular players, but I will say that there were enough points left on the field to tie. I will also say that some people here were calling for a certain player to be benched fir a while now.

I feel like Mitchell wasn't bad, but could have used some time to warm up throughout the game, rather than being thrown in down 10 in the 4th.
