I hope Mitch is ready for the next game.

Why? Unless we change our offensive scheme to fit his running style he is not the answer. Wasted the best group of receivers in UT football history this year.

100%+ I don't think the running game was used properly either.
This year has been a real cluster fck. No real identity/dominant personality for the team coming out of Spring ball.
Suggest Mitch to become a safety or transfer
Play Bradley for CMU and if we get a bowl he gets all first team reps for it

I recall when we were calling Seymour the “new Hunt” and raving about our RB depth. It’s OK, but not the MAC’s best by a long shot and Seymour has disappointed behind a weak line. I like Guadagni but can he stay healthy? Looks doubtful.

Hunt had some great linemen. He would have been pressed to put up his numbers this season.
Coach Hallet is the o-line coach and also the run-game coordinator (he came straight from a D-III program). Those are two areas where the Rockets struggle mightily and have caused many of our losses this season. Something's gotta give.

The running game is an embarrassment compared to what it has been these past two decades.
Seymour is playing injured. We don’t want an injured QB hobbling around and fumbling the ball against Kent. Peters needs a game to get his feet under him, and apply what he has learned against NIU. This team smoked Ball State with 4 picks. I would play some young QB’s, as well. Stick with Peters.
You can't blame our RB's for the lack of running game. It's the offensive line. We have 3 running backs, maybe 4 when you add in Ronnie Jones, that would start at any MAC school.
A) The O-line just wasn't talented enough this year.
B) There wasn't a capable QB waiting and ready to be next up.

Is that poor recruiting/planning? IDK But the future is on the bench.
1st take away: time to stop kvetching and just enjoy the team and some terrrific Seniors. MY preference, play for the now. If they get a bowl, they get a bowl.
2nd take away: transcendent time of Coach Candle's career, he has some hard choices to make and that before the last whistle between continuing to build this program or relationships. He needs to find coaches before someone else finds those coaches.
3rd take away: stadium concessions still suck.

Pretty sure there are still some people waiting in line for concessions from the Miami game.
I think if we had an OL we might have been OK. If we could run that ball it would reduce the load on the QB's shoulders. He should have brought in some JUCO's or grad transfers to shore up the line. Maybe none were available, ya got me.

Well we did bring in Ruble but, yeah.
