So, it's decision time. The next to last UAB/Southern Miss game I went to was the 70 point shellacking in Hattisburg. I had been to every single USM-UAB game home or away up until that point, we had lost every single one.

The next year I was out of town on business, thought I could get back in town sometime close to kickoff, but it was nearly halftime when I got to the 65/59 interchanging. I was listening to the game on the radio and thought "Man, i just cant go through this again" and decided to head on home. We beat Southern Miss for the first time. Not wanting to jinx it, I stayed away from every USM game, and we won every one until Garrick McGee's last year when southern miss was winless and I thought the curse was broken and it was safe to return. We got destroyed.

So in UAB's history against USM we are winless in games I have attended, and have won every single game I have missed.

Do I go to the game Saturday or not?

Brother said he'd be bringing some fried chicken/tenders bucket from deli so additional meat

We had mojo wings last week - this week we're sacrificing to Jobu (I'll have the rum so don't mess w/ Jobu's rum)

My brother is bringing some corn bread.

I know this is late but someone have some kind of coffee pot they can bring to brew some hot chocolate or other warm beverage?

I’ll go buy a cheap one and bring it. Someone bring extra hot chocolate and water.

It was touch-and-go for a while there, but It's okay if you attend future USM games.
