The qb battle at Tulsa this spring could be fierce. I hope President moves to receiver or something.
(11-05-2018 11:39 AM)Billy Bob Bearcat Wrote: [ -> ]UC only lists 14 and I don't know if any of them even play (or are on scholarship) at this point. Their starters are primarily made up of Freshman and Sophomores. The team is stacked for the future.

While both teams may be young, the difference is UC currently a top 25 team. There is no reason that they don't get better going forward.

We are the third youngest team in college football but we have 3 senior starters on the defensive line and 4 on the offensive line. Broughton, Copeland, and Fitz have been the anchor of our defense; to say we don't have important players in this class is far from true. We're definitely ascending but don't discount some of the talent in this small senior class.
The best part of Tulane's QB situation next year is that we'll head into the season with an experienced backup.

If we had a backup going into 2018 we'd have won at least 1 out of Wake, UAB, SMU. Most likely all 3.

That list is very short: Bama, Georgia, LSU, Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan, ND, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington. These are schools that could be in next year. Do any need a QB? Would any contenders be interested? Just don’t see him anywhere but at UCF next year. (dammit)

it worked out for Shea Patterson going to Michigan

He means that if we had a backup ready and Fritz went to him. The offense was designed for a SR. QB(Banks) who popped his pants in the 4th quarter and OT vs wake and we lost. Uab he fumbled the team into a hole and pooped his pants on the the final drive in the 4th Q. Against SMU same thing popped his pants in the 4th quarter and fumbled away the game.

Milton isn't grad transferring and leaving the team he loves behind. His family is all in on UCF and moved here from Hawaii to be closer to him. He will finish his college career a Knight. Hopefully it's not until after next season and still with the active win streak entact.

Junior Justin McMillan Tulane- only 3 games, including a blowout of USF
- star running back Corey Dauphine & Darius Bradwell are juniors

Junior QB Ben Hicks SMU- 3-year starter putting together a respectable season

Tulsa: injured starter Luke Skipper is a sophomore, current starter Seth Boomer is a freshman, probable starter for next year Zach Smith (Baylor transfer) is a sophomore
- star rbs Shamari Brooks & Corey Taylor II are sophmores

Next year could be a lot of fun

Cincinnati has one of the 10 youngest rosters in College Football.

They should take over UCF's reigns on this conference going forward. They are losing absolutely nobody for the next 2 years, and Coach Fick can Coot.
UCF has one of the 10 youngest rosters as well.

Someone said the schedule is favorable next year for the AAC to really make noise, especially with our home A5 games. Seems the team make ups are as looking very favorable as well.

Houston's breakdown is this:

84 total players on scholarship
29 freshman (34.52%)
13 sophomores (15.48%)
23 juniors (27.38%)
19 seniors (22.62%)

An exact 50/50 split between underclassmen and upperclassmen. 5 of the seniors are grad transfers. Will be really young on defense next year, losing 9 starters (although if you've watched our defense, is that REALLY a bad thing?). Will have a TON of skill/experience on offense next year, returning 9 starters.
Temple and Cincy are gonna be nasty next year. Memphis will have their shyt back together. ECU and SMU could surprise. The AAC is gonna be mighty strong next year IMO.

No, you have to include all your practice squad walk-ons which are inherently younger as most quit so you can skew your numbers.
