Just thinking from a high school student/parents perspective, why would a kid ever choose WMU over a different university? And I am not just comparing MAC schools here.

Cons of WMU

Bad/small sports programs compared to UM, MSU, ND
Terrible/ugly/very dangerous city
Average campus/ poor dorms and food services
Small party/bar scene especially compared to B1G schools
Lots of local kids who just attend WMU on a commuter basis and aren't really involved at the University

Pros of WMU
