Gary got absolutely posterized by Giannis a couple days ago. It was on sportscenter.

Nice play for Giannis, but a big let down, to be honest. Term posterizing now way over used.

Gary with another 12 so far today. He's been getting 25-30 minutes and starting every game. Incredible to be out of NBA to this.

This means he should get a nice chunk of guaranteed money, right?

More than the 555k he made last year,
By extending a qualifying offer to Clark, he now becomes a restricted free agent. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, per team policy, but spotrac.com lists Clark's cap hold at close to $1.9 million for 2020-21

$555k was what he signed for with the Magic last year. He also made $708k from Houston and signed a pair of 10-day contracts with the Magic for $81k each. All together he made $1.425 million last year.

As I understand it the qualifying offer is probably around $1.9M and it is considered a guaranteed offer to the player that remains open for a certain period. But Gary can shop around during that period to see if he gets a better offer from another team. If so, Orlando (because they made the qualifying offer) has the right to match any other offer he gets. If Gary doesn't find a better offer, he can accept the qualifying offer and I think the $1.9M is guaranteed (even if he were to get cut).
But I'm no expert so take it fwiw.
