I must admit I haven't been to 5th 3rd in quite some time, and got used to the easy parking situation at NKU I plan on going to a few games this year, but seeing as I live in Covington, I am completely unfamiliar with parking spots to the game. If it helps, I get lost super easy, so anything close to the arena that a dumb*** like me could figure out would be great. And do you have to pay cash?

Thanks in advance.

Prepaying for on campus parking is probably your best bet.

I have managed to find street parking almost every game for several years. Interested to see how that goes with attendance this year.
The few times I go to games I get there about 2-3 hours early, park in a garage before they collect cash, go to BW3's, then leave the parking garage when the gates are up.

Or I just pay and park in one of the garages along Calhoun Street.

Weird. I've prepaid for UC parking for basketball in past years. Wonder if UC Parking Services is just slow in getting basketball parking available or if they are discontinuing offering prepaid parking?
Is there a parking garage on the shoemaker center property open to the public, or is that a perk for season pass holders and Nick Lachey? My biggest fear is spending 30 minutes aimlessly driving around looking for a parking spot.

There is usually cash parking at Campus Green Garage, Woodside Drive Garage (access off of MLK Drive) and Scioto Jefferson Garage (access at University and Jefferson).

East Campus parking is generally available for cash but it's a good walk which isn't bad on nice days but wouldn't be ideal at night.

CCM, Lindner Varsity Village, Corry and Calhoun Garages are usually Passes only on game days.
honestly i would parked on jefferson by fries and hang out there before and after the game. the shoe is only a moderate walk away

I've prepaid for years and got my parking passes with my tickets again this year. Nothing has changed as far as I can tell.
Depends on what you are looking for. Im someone who always wants an easy exit. So i will never park in a garage. I just park on straight street where the hill begins. Its free and you never have to wait. Get in your car and go. No traffic at all. The last thing i want to do after a game is sit there in traffic

X2 for street parking.. free and you don't have to wait in traffic in a garage to leave. get there early enough to not have to worry about finding a spot. I normally park on the east side of campus somewhere between Main and Medical Campus because it's easy access to 71 and stop somewhere on short vine for drinks before the game.
Don't parking passes still come with premium season tickets?

Park in one of the garages or off of a side street near Short Vine.
I park in my easy chair, unobstructed view, better beer prices, no bathroom lines, free parking, play by play announcers, instant replay.

Any of the garages around UC's campus will be available for parking. There is also the USquare garage on Calhoun, and a few parking garages on Short Vine that are fairly affordable.

If you get down early enough you can get some decent street parking, but it starts to disappear about 2 hours before game time.
Thanks for the input. I will report back when I go, and see where I ended up!

X2. I'm cheap and the walk isn't that bad. Its pretty easy for basketball, when you consider max attendance was 13K (now 12K so arguably it will be slightly easier).
Has anyone ever taken an Uber? I have never used it, but I mean, it might be a better option for one or two games. Plus I believe my first ride is free for signing up. So worst case it'll be 15 bucks. I might just do that and chalk it up to the price of convenience.
