No cardiologists at UTMC?
Great story. So glad he can continue to chase his dream.
Reminiscent of Justin Moss, except that Moss had a diagnosed heart condition and sticky fingers. After UT med staff wouldn't clear him to play but offered to allow him to remain in the school on an athletic scholarship he went to a CC then to Buffalo where he was named MAC Player of the Year and then was dismissed from school for theft. Crazy story. If Moss and Rian Pearson had played together for 3 years the Rockets probably would have made it into the NCAA tourney. Woulda, coulda, shoulda....

Wishing good health and good fortune for Marreon, his family and his teammates.
Moss would have taken that very good rockets team over the top, but we'll never know.

Marreon story is well done. As someone with a heart condition I know how it causes you to have a renewed appreciation for life and your blessings. Surprised to hear Coach K compare him favorably to Juice, but that's a good comparison. Maybe, it's cuz Juice's game was smoother and his ballhandling more precise but I wouldn't have seen Jackson as comparable. Then again, Marreon has that competitive it factor and knack for making big shots which maybe transcends the sorta unorthodox look of his game. He may never look as good as juice out there but if he helps us win as much or more I'll take it.
