But the offensive play calling has turned us into a 'chuck and duck' offense which exposes the defense. So maybe we are just in the bottom 10 defenses in FBS.

Ball sucks as DC. The play 20 yards off of receivers defense is a joke. It really says alot that Odom @ Memphis had a top 20 defense with half the talent and depth Ball has.
95% sure we will give up the most points in FBS this week.
Just watch Tyler Badie carry 9 of our defensive players down the field and you have your answer.

We only played against one non d1 program.
I am not a Chris Ball fan. I don't know his past, but has he ever excelled?
We need bigger, faster and better players....a blitz now and then would be nice too.

The defense is and has been poop for a long time. Hard to take this program serious regardless of how good the offense is.
Yes. Our defense hasn't been good since Larry Porter's recruits graduated. We just had very good QB's to mask it since.
Maybe Penny can try his hand as the DC too?

Bobby McCain and Martin Ifedi. Fuente coached them but Larry Porter staff recruited them.
