First. Here is what the NT Players are saying:

Two things to note: On defense expect them to sell out to stop the tun and to employ a similar gameplan against us as we did against Tulane: Stack the box with with 1 or even no safeties deep and force us to prove we can move the ball consistently through the air.

On offense, they will spread us out and throw the quick near laterals to their outside receivers, throw quick slants and shallow crossing routes. Complimating matters is that Fine has a strog arm and great touch on his deep passes. He will test our CBs deep. Expect them to throw a lot of screens at us, something they employed a lot last year but havent called as much this year (my bet is that a package of screens to try and counter our aggressive D is a big part of what their RB meant in the video above.) They throw the ball to their backs a good bit, and I'm interested to see if we can force the RBs to be blockers instead of going out on pass patterns.
Their run game is a mix of draws, read option, counters, quick hitters and QB keepers. It will be very important that we stay sound in our run fits because their backs are smaller but both fast and quick so they can chew up yards quickly. Loren Easly being hurt is a big boon for us.

Some highlights to help you familiarize yourself with UNT:

Vs Arkansas, a 44-17 win.

Vs Liberty, a 47-7 win.

Vs Southern Miss a 30-7 win

Vs La. Tech, a 27-29 loss... It's important to note, if Fine didnt get hurt in the second half of that game, and Easly had not gotten hurt, the outcome would likely have been different.

I hope they put a ton of faith in their Ark performance. Maybe they won't realize pretty much everyone that plays Arkansas, beat Arkansas.
All I know is, whether he signals or not...

Touch. The. Kick. Returner.
I hope we watched last years film as extra motivation
