I don't usually post these, but I thought this one might be of interest to the board since he spends some time talking about the Sun Belt meetings and the future leadership of the conference. SBC talk begins around the 20:30 mark.
I really enjoy listening to TM speak. He's direct, doesn't pull punches, and doesn't dance around with "coach speak".
Thanks for posting, we love some T-Mo
I like the fact that he is available and open in terms of sharing information. But I find the hmmms and ughhhs and laughter with the shows host hard to deal with. Get your thoughts together and present them in a smooth free flowing manner is my suggestion to Terry and Kara.
What's the format of this show? Is it a live radio interview? A regular ask-the-AD online show?

It's a daily sports talk show on an FM station in Jonesboro. TMo comes on once a week to field questions.
T Mo for President.

Can’t please everyone, I suppose.

Terry Mohajir joins 95.3 The Ticket every Wednesday for about a 30-40 minute chat. Obviously, we focus very heavily on A-State, but cover Sun Belt news and national topics from time to time. Occasionally calls are taken, but it’s mostly questions I prepare ahead of time. Sometimes we stay on topic, sometimes not. If anyone ever has a question, just shoot me a message or tweet. I’ll do my best to work it in, or at least explain myself if I don’t.

I'll have to check that out. I produce the afternoon drive show on the FM ESPN affiliate in Greenville, SC and do nights on the rock station.

Good to meet another radio person here.
I thought there was an interesting nugget he threw out---but didnt elaborate on. Around the 30:40 mark of the interview (he's discussing possible bowl options)--almost as a throw away line--- he says he and the AppSt AD were talking about how "Houston is looking at the future". He doesnt elaborate...but, given the context, it makes me think a Houston group must be gauging interest in a Houston based G5 bowl. I would think such a game would be perfect for for either TDECU or BBVA Compass stadium.

that would be awesome!
Can you believe there's a vocal group on The Den that wants T-Mo fired? Some of our fans have turned in to such nutcases.

I've not seen a group ultimately calling for his job. I've seen a group that has asked whether or not he shares some of the blame for this football disaster.

He has his flaws.

You do a good job and you have the talent to accomplish much. Consider my comments as constructive criticism. You have the opportunity to do what most of us would enjoy and that is sitting down and interviewing the key leader of our athletics department. Keep TMo on track and the conversation more business oriented. Hopefully you will discuss the downhill slide of our football program and his thoughts about it.

Kara you're doing a good job, ask him if the Sun belt and the American will still be working together in the future on bowl games?
It seems he and our AD get along pretty well.

Have heard our chancellor and your president get along real well also.

I really do appreciate the feedback, so please excuse the smart ass remark. As far as keeping Terry on track...just wish me luck with that. I will say though that some of the best interviews that we've done have been some of the ones where I stick to the script the least. Questions, or at least a general topic, are always prepared in advance, but sometimes the most informative nuggets come from things that almost seem like random remarks and have to be followed up on. It's always an adventure to keep up.
I noticed toward the end that TMo talked about the Sun Belt champion having a tie in to a particular bowl or maybe being grouped with some other at larges for bowl invites. That is an interesting question. Considering the bowls that we are now involved in, I may just want to take my chances in being grouped into some at large bowl opportunities to play a better "name" or conference in a bowl tie in.
