Just putting this up in case there are impacts from the cat 4 hurricane getting set to hit the Florida Panhandle.

FSU has a bye this weekend already.....
The track will take it across southern Georgia and hit the Carolinas again
My hope is that this thing clears through it's path before Saturday. Not sure I can stomach losing another football weekend.
Georgia Southern is at Texas St on Thursday (Michael will track just north of GS Thursday morning early) but they had already planned to fly out mid-day Wednesday so the weather has no effect on travel.
I don't know if this guy died or not. I watched it live and it was terrifying.

Clemson is off this weekend and SC has a home game against Texas A&M.
ECU has a home game but will be all cleared out for game day
UWF have a game this Saturday. They host West Georgia after their win last Saturday over North Alabama in Florence last week. They could be the 1st impacted.
By Saturday afternoon, this thing will be just off the coast of Nova Scotia. Unless a college town get devastated, I doubt anything is gonna be cancelled.

He survived - I have a friend that is a storm chaser, and knows Brett - he was able to get shelter, and able to contact his wife he was safe

Good to hear. I felt like I was there with him watching and when he went over that bridge to get closer to Mexico Beach, all I could do was shake my head. His dispatcher was egging him on to do it too.
Michael is a Category 4, but is only 2 mph less than a Category 5.

Unless it spawns a tornado that directly hits the dead cockroach y'all should be fine. Per the track the storm will already be in NC by 1 PM Thursday.
FAMU is away this weekend at North Carolina A&T.
It picked a good weekend as lots of teams are playing the "Fighting Byes"...
