I've always heard that Cam Henderson invented the fast break and zone defense. (Don't know if that is true).
I look forward to seeing this film.
This article also mentions Jackie Hunt who will be inducted into the College Football HOF this month.

Film on Marshall legend Cam Henderson long overdue

It’s taken a while, 50 years maybe, but Cam Henderson’s colorful past is gradually catching up to him. On film, that is.

Six weeks into the production of their documentary on the late, great Marshall coach, Deb Novak and John Witek have already filmed interviews with five of Henderson’s former players, plus a sports writer, a sportscaster, a Marshall sports archivist and the widow of one of the coach’s brightest football stars. Here’s the lineup:

Dr. Sam Clagg, ex-lineman, Henderson assistant and biographer; Herndon Wilks, of Chesapeake, Ohio, Cam’s first letterman; Mae Gillette Hunt, widow of Jackie Hunt, Cam’s record breaking 1940 national scoring champion (27 TD), College All Star, Little All-American, and former Chicago Bear who’ll be inducted posthumously Aug. 14 into the College Football of Fame; plus basketball greats Charlie Slack, still holder of the NCAA single season rebounding record (25.6), Bill Toothman and Lewis Wilcox; plus sportscaster-archivist Woody Woodrum.

Got it? Hey, there’s more to come from these Emmy winning producers of "Ashes to Glory," and "The Making of Ashes to Glory," the stories of the Marshall air tragedy. … Note: If you have personal films or photos from the Henderson era that you’d be willing to lend Novak and Witek, call them at 697-0681. … Meanwhile, four generations of the Hunt family plus a Marshall contingent headed by AD Kayo Marcum will be in South Bend, Ind., to see Jackie’s induction. Wonder how many of them are old enough to have seen Jackie play, not counting Miss Mae, Dr. Clagg and (sigh) me.
