Is it me, or does it look like Trey Kalina has slimmed down quite a bit? Trey struggled to get up and down the court last year at times. Could be huge for his game if he's in good shape going into the season.

Any news (or rumors) regarding Wolf’s replacement?

That would definitely help him possibly get more minutes. IMO he needs to find his inner toughness. If the coaching staff can get him to be more aggressive on the floor that would help.
On another note, both freshmen Simms and Toews look physically strong. Love seeing all the pictures focusing on defense.
Interesting to see a pict with Lebo watching practice with Bass. Wonder what that's all about

Idk, but I don't like it very much.

We can do worse than a guy with 20 years of HC experience sitting third chair.

But, it was opening day for Carolina, and with UNCW and Charlotte each in town, I imagine he was there just to observe. Where would you be if you were a retired basketball coach, living less than 2 hours from Chapel Hill, and had an open invitation to watch and talk basketball?

I don't disagree, especially at trying to hire someone at this point. I know Lebo is much younger but let's not forget about how Biedenbach worked out, and he actually had success as a head coach.

Fishing
Sorry If I don't support even the idea of our rivals former head coach coming on to the staff. Keep that stink away from me!

Lebo was successful at Chattanooga, but it's hard to ignore zero NCAA appearances. I am not pining for him by any stretch, but I wouldn't be upset if he filled the spot. I'm not as concerned about the ECU connection, but I get your point.
I agree. I would like to see another "big man" coach such as Wolf.

If they brought in Lebo just for the year, I'd be ok with it. I don't think he should be the long term solution at the position though. Not to many to choose from at this point.
True. But Lebo coming back into coaching? He quit mid-season last year (?) and would want back in now? I am not sure I'd be crazy about him for one year. However it is not my decision.

I don't think Lebo is going to be on a staff anywhere at this point. Just think this is being a bit "over thunk".

You're probably right, but I sure am glad basketball is back. Between practice starting and getting two commits, the buzz is back! Looking forward to another season!

Perhaps, but him sitting on the sideline with OUR AD, watching OUR practice has to make one think
Hawks are down a coach and if he can help, I'd be glad to have him. He has a ton of experience and his problem wasn't game planning at ECU. His problem was recruiting mid-high major talent that were accepting of coaching and had high character. He may have just been there watching because he's familiar with UNCW and has UNC ties.
They are both coaches who played at UNC. UNCW is practicing at UNC. They know each other and the teams played last year. Just some basketball guys talking basketball.
Buzz is also around and showing up in pictures
