UAB is a 16 point favorite against 49ers this week.
Weather is 40% Thunderstorms early and it could change.
What 49ers team will we play the one that lost to Maine last week are the one that beat ODU?
Others games of interest: UNT vs La Tech
Coastal Carolina is 3-1 now and plays Troy this week.
Haven't been to a UAB game since Week 1 so I'm excited for this weekend!

ESPN's FPI has CCU as a 7-5 team. The loss still stings but I don't think it's as bad as it seemed at the time.

FPI also has North Texas heavily favored in their remaining games. The lowest probabilities that they have are 78.4% vs. La Tech and 79.3% @ UAB. I look forward to the excuses that come out about why North Texas shouldn't be ranked, or why they shouldn't be in a New Year's 6 Bowl as the season continues.

Jerry Palm has us in Shreveport playing Wake Forrest. We would be taking the SEC spot since they are not projected to have enough to fill their tie-ins.

Yep. ESPN has UAB vs UNLV in New Mexico, or vs App St in New Orleans. Of course, all of this is meaningless, other than it being better than not mentioned.
Meaningless Predictions for $400 Alex.
A POX on bowl talk in September, particularly at UAB. The key is to have zero expectations going in to each game. Clear your mind of all anticipation or we will all be on our collective backs staring up at Lucy's face.

The Tao of The Blazers
Frankly we already have a bowl game and it's this weekend. Everything from here on out is a playoff game. After seeing most everyone play at least a little there are some good football teams in this league (along with a few dogs). There are no weeks off from here on out

I've got a group of 28 coming Saturday. Many of them for the 1st time. Seriously, I called the ticket office and bought 26 tickets to go with my 2. It won't happen often, but maybe we'll get a few hooked.

We lost to Maine TOO? We're worse than I thought. We even lose secret games.

Group sales have been up this season. Trust me, they have been reaching out to companies across greater Birmingham.

Well, Maine was a part of the state of Massachusetts until it gained it's own statehood as a part of the Missouri Compromise in 1820, so I could see how someone might confuse UMass and the University of Maine...

Glad to hear this. Didn't realize this before I moved here but Birmingham's corporations are supposed to be more generous than other large cities when it comes to sponsorship.

Also, since this thread is basically off the rails, my company is getting 20 tickets and a tailgate tent for the Southern Miss game. I'm pretty excited about it.
The company I work for did a bogo season ticket deal where if the employee paid for one season ticket, the company bought one season ticket with the employee getting both tickets.
