Who will win by more points next week?

JMU versus W&M

or

NDSU versus UD?

Sagarin suggests both will be 4 TD spreads.
I voted NDSU vs UD. There will be more gamesmanship in the JMU matchup given Coach Laycocke/s retirement.

Pff please. You don’t take it easy on the guy just because it’s his last trip to Harrisonburg.

It’s his job to stop us.
Everything is on the line for Rocco and his Blue Chicks this week. The natives are already restless in Newark after the defeat to Rhode Island and a less than stellar performance against Cornell. They will be motivated to play in Fargo and prove themselves or face the reality of where their program really is. The fighting Roccos are still going to lose but they will at least put up a fight. W&M won't.

JMU wins by 49 (56 to 7)
Bison win by 21 (35 to 14)
The Bison eat a lot of clock with run dominant offense. For this reason I think JMU wins by a bigger margin, but -28 seems awfully high for a conference game. Laycock is a good coach and he has a Sophomore QB who is learning. Is the rest of their team that bad?

W&M was 0-8 in conference play last year, so they may be that bad. Also, has their team even been practicing this week? Or did the early threat of a hurricane scatter them to the four winds?

Last time W&M had a winning record in CAA play was 2015. They only won 3 CAA games in 16, none in 17. They've been on a slide for a couple years now. This one isn't going to be pretty. Somewhere between play a full have vs. Norfolks state and a full game against Robert Morris.

W&M had to be evacuated for part of this past week, so I would imagine that took away some potential practice time for them in their regular routine.

-0-8 in conference last year.

-According to the CAA 12 Teams in 12 Days, only returned 11 starters. Lost 4 of their 7 All CAA players from last season. The 3 who returned were 3 all 3rd team.

-VT 62, W& 17 (VT took their foot off the gas).

Struggled to beat a bad Bucknell team
-W&M 14, Bucknell 7.
Sacred Heart 30, Bucknell 14
Penn 34, Bucknell 17

Considering the above, 28 isn't high at all..
This poll seems easy to me. JMU by a much wider margin than NDSU. UD is not where I thought they would be in year two of Rocco but has not sunk to the depths of Tribe football yet.
