So it's GAME DAY again!!!

Week 2 features UC officially "visiting" the Redhawks of Miami of Ohio, at the "neutral" site of PBS.

Here's the thread to discuss the game. Also, I'm curious to hear what your expectations...and the reality...of the crowd size will be, given that PBS has a larger capacity than Yeager (or Nippert) does.

GO BEARCATS!!!
Game conditions tonight?

Seriously, kudos to all of you faithful going to the game tonight! I'll be playin' it safe and rooting and cheering our Cats on from the comfort of my interior recliner.
National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch that began at 12 noon and ends Monday at 8 AM. The forecast is 100% rain all day and evening with periods of HEAVY showers. Are you guys getting some rain up there now?

Heavy rain...I think crowd will be light. I was going to go but I’m not driving an hour to spend the evening sitting in heavy rain.

Which team most benefits from the wet weather...Bearcats?
I'll be at the game, in my UC rain jacket.

Go Cats! Tear up those Foreskins!

Is Doaks playing? Two good backs in the rain works!

I saw a few injury reports on the web that listed him as "questionable" but you have to take that FWIW since there aren't official reports like in the NFL. This article from Cincinnati.com mentioned that Doaks would back up the starter Warren...

Quote:When UC runs

Running back Michael Warren II took the headlines with his 142-yard, three-touchdown game in last week's 26-17 upset at UCLA. Warren was quick to credit his linemen, including starters Garrett Campbell (St. Xavier HS) at center, Kyle Trout and Morgan James at guards, and Vincent McConnell and Chris Ferguson at tackles. Warren carried 35 times and took a hard shot to the knee, but he is expected to be ready. UC hopes that some combination of backup RBs Gerrid Doaks, Charles McClelland and Taylor Boose can help ease Warren's workload

Apparently my new cable package doesn't have ESPN3 access and the small cable company of mine is closed today. Do I have any options to access ESPN3 before tonight? I'm desperate, please help!

ESPN3 is an internet based network. Google “watch ESPN”

Thanks. I get that but when you select an ESPN3 game to watch you have to identify and login to your cable provider. After doing that I get a message saying ESPN3 isn't part of my cable subscription package, and naturally my small cable company isn't open today so I can't add it or upgrade my cable subscription.

I am exploring some options with Sling or Direct TV Now. It looks like they each have free 7 day trials. Anyone know if I sign up for a free trial can I access the ESPN3 game tonight and then cancel during the free trial period?

I think you are right. We have UVerse and it works.

Isn't WXIX streaming the game tonight?

Don't know if XIX is streaming it but they're carrying it live @ 8 p.m. for the local market. The latest forecast is for 90% chance of rain @ kickoff and 100% chance by 9 p.m. A real shame as this would have been a good draw locally under better weather conditions.
WXIX is broadcasting the game in the Greater Cincinnati area. I looked at their website and don't see anything about any internet streaming.

The Sling free preview is advertised as being cancel-able at any time during the free trial. They will require a credit card to sign up and if you forget to cancel they will start billing you. No contract or term as I understand it. So if you forget to cancel you are only on the hook for a month at a time.

Thought I saw Danneman say that they were also streaming the game.

They should have just rescheduled the game. Play it in december or move another game around. They can make rules about player safety but honestly this type of forecast is dangerous to both players and fans.

I'm in Delaware just north of Columbus, so the weather here could be drastically different; but it's just lightly raining here. Is it like a monsoon or something in Clifton?

I'm visiting Clifton now. The rain here is light to moderate.
