USM will have Brett Favre while UL Monroe is scheduled to have current Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson. Philadelphia hosts Atlanta Thursday night which allows Pederson to be in Hattiesburg on Saturday

A pair of Super Bowl Champions are coming to The Rock - Southern Miss alumnus Brett Favre as well as ULM alumnus and Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson - when the Golden Eagles and the WarHawks meet on the gridiron this Saturday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. The former teammates will serve as honorary captains for their respective teams
Doug’s son plays for ULM and Doug came in several times over the offseason to discuss football and help with the ULM offensive playbook.
Doing a very cool promotion where there will be a scavenger hunt around Hattiesburg to find "Golden Tickets". There will also be some tickets hidden in the stadium for those who arrive 1.5 hours before kickoff to hunt down. The winners of the tickets get to meet both Favre and Pederson on the field after the coin toss, get a picture with them and get a prize pack.
