At the 41:50 mark they start talking about the discrepancy between the P5 and the G5, and how App State isn't the only G5 team that can compete with P5 teams. I agree, the top tier teams in the G5 have a shot against P5 teams - no question.

I agree, BUT, App has to start winning some of these games. I’m not a believer in moral victories. While the team beat expectations of many, I would suggest that App is not over performing but is completely capable of winning. I was left felt feeling sad for the team who has had three close games in three years against SEC, ACC, and Big 10 teams that quite frankly App had the talent and ability to win. These kinds of losses can have lingering effects so I’m interested to see how App responds on Saturday. So, yes it’s clear that a talented, well prepared and coached AppState team can play with anyone anywhere... I just feel empathy for the team that’s come up short the last three years... the what if’s can linger well beyond a normal loss. I look forward to the day that this kind of performance is no longer a surprise to anyone.

Looks like it has had positive effects on recruiting. App is at a point now where it seems like no matter who leaves, a more talented person is waiting on the wings. Some of that can likely be attributed to playing the P5 teams close.
