Congratulations to the Mean Green on a solid Home Crowd and a victory over your AAC opponent. 29,000+ ain't nothing to sneeze about and smackin a non-conference rival has to be sweet, indeed!
Well done to the UNT fans! We too often have teams that do well and their fans don't show up and support.
The loudest game I every attended and that includes over 100k at Bama (might have been 93k) and Tenn....

was Western vs ULM in a packed Houchen Smith Stadium and a game that went back and forth till the last 2 point conversion that ULM won on. Could not hear your own voice or the person next to you. It took two full days to get my full hearing back.

No TV game can compare to watching in person when the people show up and the fans are on their feet and into the game.
Keep it up.
That USM/UNT game should be a sellout. I'm going!
Impressive crowd & showing on the field UNT

Glad you're coming out, but I doubt a sellout

Yeah, I expect attendance to be up this year. But, none will match the SMU game as it was the home opener, against a hated rival and we also had the wrestling promo.

On the other hand, SMU only brought about 1000-1500 fans, which was very disappointing considering they are a 45 minute drive away. Had they brought another 1,000 fans, it would have been our first sellout. I can only imagine if we had played TCU instead of SMU.

Weather permitting, USM/NT should be a good crowd . USM has name recognition to older alumni. But, most of the students and younger fans only know SMU, TCU and the P5 programs. That is a dilemma I think we all face in CUSA.

I am a little concerned about Incarnate Word attendance this weekend, especially if the weather is an issue.
maybe we'll sell out 2019 Houston or 2027 Texas Tech...

Does that mean you don't expect to be hosting a CCG this year? I would think if you guys win the west you'd have a good shot at hosting since Marshall will likely drop a couple and FAU may, too. I would hope you could sell out that game as the weather will be a lot better there, likely than around these parts.

They’d sell out a CCG. As long as the visitor brings 10k.

I bet UNT is 1 of 3 CUSA teams that could get 30k butts in seat if hosting a CCG. Marshall being another 1 of the 3.

You remember the 2013 CCG at Rice? Weather could be like that but just a little less humid. Or it could be 70s.

I was there (from a family of NLU/ULM grads); very fun game and atmosphere!!
Just bring the Freebirds back to town for postgame and watch the money pile up...

I’m only slightly joking.

If we were to host the title game, I think we would have a chance to sell it out. Our fans would be engaged, and our AD has shown he is willing to get creative with our game day activities. Of course weather is always a big unknown.
