Arkansas released its 2019 baseball schedule today...The game includes the following game:
April 2nd: vs UALR Baum Stadium, Fayetteville
April 16th vs UAPB Baum Stadium, Fayetteville
Within 35 seconds, the school put out a quote to the press to quell speculation on what the hell just happened.
"While we understand the immense speculation the baseball schedule has caused, The school policy has been amended to allow games against Division 1 schools within the University of Arkansas System only" There is zero intention of playing games against other Division 1 instate schools"

Way I would have done it if I were in his shoes.
Though I would have played UAPB first symbolically because they are the older school and have a century plus tradition of getting screwed by the state. UALR's tradition of getting screwed is shorter.
So this is not a joke? UA-Fayetteville will actually be playing 2 in-State schools? In a revenue producing sport? Never thought I'd see the day. Kudos to Van Horn and the new AD if this is true.
Apparently this is true. With an ex-hog coaching our basketball team, maybe there is a Fayetteville vs. Little Rock basketball game in the not too distant future.

Men's basketball game is probably closer to happening than women's basketball

It's not a joke. They revised the "policy" to only exclude AState and UCA.
Though I wouldn't expect them to schedule you in anything you are good at.
