Sadly a fake trophy, but what the hell, I think it would be hilarious if the trophy turned into something that was either destroyed or abandoned every now and then and brought back to life in some new, updated form.
The font isn’t the same. It is a replica... a genius replica.
The fact that people still talk about it is definitely worth something.

Weird things like “where’s the trophy?” is how rivalries get started. Without meaning to, UCF ignoring this thing has actually made it worse.

I have to admit, it started out ridiculous and contrived, but watching this go on every year makes it hilarious and enjoyable. Under Edsall, I wouldn't rule UConn out. They had a bad habit of causing upsets to USF when we were in the Big East. Of course now we've won 6 in a row so it's not much of a rivalry anymore.
