Redshirt freshman DT Deron Irving-Bey (6-4, 295) of the University of Michigan has transferred to Central Michigan.
A consensus 4-star recruit and U.S. Army All-American coming out of Flint Southwestern Academy in 2017, Irving-Bey had 17 scholarship offers, including Michigan State and Tennessee in addition to the Wolverines and Chippewas.
He will be required to sit out this season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules but will have three years of eligibility for the Chippewas beginning with the 2019 season.
