Well, I got my notice for season tickets, and as usual it's a damn goat rodeo trying to get them. The IT department at JMU SUCKS and can't get anything right! When I click on the seating chart (I'm trying to see if I can upgrade our seats) I get only the basic outline of the convo center, no seating chart AT ALL. This happens every single damn year. I've tried on 3 different browsers and I am OVER IT!
O to P

I have had some issues also over the years and I just give the ticket office a call. Very helpful and they will be able to get done what you need.

Need to order my season tickets for WBB also, on thelist of things to do.

Brian
You can't move seats until the deadline in September. How else would they have already assigned seats before people buy them??

Maybe Hyper can help the IT department if they're so bad.
Have they tried unplugging it, then plugging it back in?

I think that is a joke, I just laughed my a$$ off.
I gave up after talking to them. We're opting for GA again this year, getting there early and sitting where we always sit. After talking to the ticket office guy I realized that we would get decent reserved tickets sometime in the next century the way it's done now, and it's not worth the wait. We sit down near the floor opposite the JMU bench and it's perfect viewing for most of the game. Just have to get there early enough.

Reseating year in 2020 in the new convo, so you only have to wait two more seasons to go through the lottery with everybody else!!02-13-banana

I considered going GA this year but the price difference is not all that much (now that I qualify for senior pricing) and having reserved seats for a zillion years may help me in the 2020 lottery.

The IT Crowd! fwiw, I'm almost positive JMU IT has very little to do with online ticket sales for athletics. I might be wrong, but I'd assume it's a third-party vendor.

be careful! I have suggested that before (which is absolutely true), but got chastised that the whole org is guilty whether it's a third party system or not!

It is a lot easier to just blame the entire athletic department with a broad net for any issue not matter the size or impacts.

Fire Jeff Bourne!!!
IT issues with Service Level Agreements. It’s not that hard if you have someone focused on it. (Also really helps when renegotiating new contracts with any vendors if they are not hitting expectations.)

Even a company like Stretch was not coming close to filling our needs. I know we put the squeeze on them. They've come a long way.

I'm not willing to simply accept less than potential. Certainly there are times when priorities shift. There's a quote that applies, ""The moment JMU accepts responsibility for EVERYTHING is the moment JMU gains the power to change ANYTHING."
