ISIS Stabs Them To Death.

I feel very sad for their family and friends. A needless tragedy. Unfortunately it proves liberalism can kill and evil is very real.

Quote:A young American couple who took a year-long bike trip around the world, believing that evil was a make-believe concept, took a fatal route through ISIS territory in Tajikistan, where alleged ISIS terrorists stabbed them to death.

Jay Austin and Lauren Geoghegan, 29, quit their jobs last year in order to make their trip. Austin was a vegan who worked for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; Geoghegan, a vegetarian who worked in the Georgetown University admissions office.

Austin had a personal blog on which he wrote in June 2017, “I’ve grown tired of spending the best hours of my day in front of a glowing rectangle, of coloring the best years of my life in swaths of grey and beige. I’ve missed too many sunsets while my back was turned. Too many thunderstorms went unwatched, too many gentle breezes unnoticed.”

While in Morocco, Austin wrote:

You watch the news and you read the papers and you're led to believe that the world is a big, scary place. People, the narrative goes, are not to be trusted. People are bad. People are evil. People are axe murderers and monsters and worse.

I don't buy it. Evil is a make-believe concept we've invented to deal with the complexities of fellow humans holding values and beliefs and perspectives different than our own—it's easier to dismiss an opinion as abhorrent than strive to understand it. Badness exists, sure, but even that's quite rare. By and large, humans are kind. Self-interested sometimes, myopic sometimes, but kind. Generous and wonderful and kind. No greater revelation has come from our journey than this.

.........different values and beliefs, like stabbing people to death.
I'll probably catch some flack for this, but play stupid games, win stupid prizes. It's a thin line between naivety and stupidity and I have little to no empathy for the stupid.

Any guess as to their political affiliation??

This just proves that liberalism IS a mental disease.

I do wonder though what went thru their heads as the make believe evil men were stabbing them to death?

1) OMG, we're gonna die

OR

2) Utter confusion as they realize their warped view of reality and progress beliefs are completely wrong, asking "how can this be, I have a COEXIST bumper sticker....."

Also, sometimes stabby.
This is what happens when children are raised in a land of "diversity is our strength".

No greater revelation, except your death by evil.

I disagree. Diversity can be strength. This is what happens when children are raised without consequences and are coddled.

It is 99% impossible that a vegan working for the government and a vegetarian working at Georgetown didn't have !Diversity! drilled into their head on a minute by minute basis from birth.
I believe Evil is a me believe concept too! Lets send all democrats, liberal and leftist politician to follow in the skid marks of these two.
My reaction to this was the same as my reaction to the news a while back where the filmmaker dude who was living with grizzly bears ends up getting devoured by one.

"What in the **** did you think was going to happen?"

Hugs and kisses from grizzly bears and ISIS.

Sadly for them their dreams of this:

turned into the reality of this:

And they learned far too late the true nature of the "religion of peace"

He became bear $hit. Not quite as romantic.
I always wonder what the last thoughts to go through these peoples heads are. Same with the bear guy.
Do they have that final sudden realization that they were wrong... or do they die feeling confused while they are being stabbed/eaten to death.

This guy was lucky enough to live after a Grizzly bear attacked him twice.
