Quote:Vermont Democrats made history Tuesday by nominating Christine Hallquist as the first transgender individual to be a major party candidate for governor.

Meanwhile, preliminary results showed that Gov. Phil Scott survived a challenge animated by his former Republican allies in the gun-rights movement.

The general election matchup pits Hallquist, a former utility executive who has never held statewide elected office, against Scott, a former construction company owner seeking a second term.

"I'm going to tell you why we're going to win in November," said Hallquist, holding a clipboard as she addressed a cheering crowd of supporters at the Skinny Pancake restaurant in Burlington. "Because nothing is impossible when you're on the side of justice."

Lazy Tom, can you weigh in on this? Is a guy transgender for simply putting on a wig and women's clothes, perhaps silk panties underneath and trying to get an extra-close shave that day? I thought that was a transvestite .

I'm confused, though obviously not as confused as lovely Christine.
It is Vermont, home of Bernie Sanders. He'll probably win.
Yesterday was alt-left/coastal fringe primary day.

Here's who MN-05 is sending to Washington,
i'm of the opinion that it would be a most interesting thing to have a conversation with one of these folks. talking to gay people about gay is also fun times. these people are going to exist

TBH, I still have no clear idea of exactly what a TG is. Do they have both parts ? Do they flip a coin ? Do they simply cross dress ? Hey, whatever floats their boats. As long as I don't have to see it in my face I really don't care what they do in private. Of course, I am an evil man now.

As was explained to me one time by an interesting "fella" I worked with Transvestite is someone that agrees with their external gender, but likes to dress and act as the opposite gender. Examples being Oscar de la Hoya, RuPaul. They just enjoy the feeling of appearing to be something they are not.

Transgender people internally do not agree with their physical gender. Mentally they feel the opposite of the plumbing they were given. These are the folks you see wanting gender therapy and sex reassignments

A "transsexual" takes the hormones and has the parts of the person they are acting. A "transvestite" just dresses as the opposite sex. This sure looks like a "transvestite" to me. No idea what parts he has, but his face sure doesn't look like he is taking estrogen. "Transgender" I think is a made up term that can mean whatever you want to depending on the situation.

Just my personal opinion, but Christine needs to have a serious talk with herself. A woman she's not.
You get what you vote for. Good, bad or transitioning.
I know it sounds bad, but calling him a she on the networks bothers me. I know it is not PC, but you are born what you are. I might be kicked off, but have a real problem with this wording.

Yup. Christine certainly won't be advocating for Sharia law if elected. The MN-05 candidate is much more concerning.

In these situations, I try to avoid pronouns altogether by only using the person's name. Someone's always gonna be pissed.

If both people are polite an courteous it shouldn't be a problem. If a person asked me politely to use a different pronoun I would gladly oblige without hesitation. If they freak out and ***** at me for using the wrong one then frick em. Manners and kindness go a long way.

Lol. Sorry didn't mean to go all dear diary.
