Fun article from Bennett Collins

Updated thread title to reflect Harry’s newly demonstrated skills at NC St
Been saying it all offseason.

I prefer he plays QB in shotgun standing 15 yards back of LOS. Then run like hell. Crazy Aussie. 04-cheers
Bennett giving away our playbook 04-cheers
“Crazy Aussie” should be the name of a play. Maybe it already is.
I seriously want to see a Harry O’Kelly TD before he graduates. Dude could go down as a Punting legend in JMU lore.

Just gotta hope he doesn't pull a Brad Wing.
Watching VT/FSU game and they announce that VT’s punter is from Australia. I remember seeing that NC State’s punter is from Australia. So looking online I come across that in the ACC besides VT & NC State, UNC, and Pitt also have punters from Australia. Then came across this nugget from this article from mid Aug:
“...And this season, across the FBS, 30 teams feature Australian punters....”

Wow, I had no idea..
Rugby is basically a game of punting, tackling, and dating hot women. It transitions perfectly to college football.

And drinking copious amounts of beer.

Great post. Good for a morning laugh!04-cheers

Did you see the TD saving tackle our Aussie made Saturday? Dude does have some wheels on him and while he looked like a punter making the tackle, he got the job done.
there an echo in here?

And don't forget, O'Kelly made a TD saving ta-... oh, never mind.
That was one of my favorite plays of the game (even though the result was a net +1 yard punt). Watching our punter lay out the returner was fantastic. I was straight up from it happening, so as soon as the returner got the edge and was making his way I looked up to find O'Kelly...no awkward punter tackle there...he knocked him a few yards out of bounds.

That return (despite the deserved praise for O'Kelly) was one of the plays cited by MH as a contributing reason for the loss. A +1 on a punt is bad.

You don't say...

Fine, for all the Longhorns out there (even though I thought my caveat at the top was enough to understand)... This was a terrible OVERALL play for JMU; HOWEVER, it wasn't a bad punt by O'Kelly - just atrocious coverage - and I'm very glad we have a punter that will not just lay down in front of a returner, but instead will tackle with authority...since...you know...this is a thread about O'Kelly.
As a JMU fan the O' Kelly tackle was definitely one of the fun moments of the game. I would like to see the play again but it seemed like O' Kelly was under pressure and as a result his placement was not as good as usual. Because he never puts a lot of air under the ball the placement is critical. Even with good coverage if that kind of punt goes directly to the return man there is usual going to be a pretty good return. I would like to see film of that play.
Where does Harry rank in the JMU order of being the fastest player on the team? Hard to imagine anyone being faster in the 40. Guy has some serious burners.

He is definitely quick
Great tackle by Harry on the play. Thought that the punt was fine but it seemed like the coverage outran the punt and were to far past the returner when he caught it.

huh? O'Kelly knock that kid on his a$$. most punters pull a hammy and look like a tennis player trying to make that play.

I guess that is why he is #98.
