But that's not the issue, unless you're worried only about winning chatroom debates.
The issue is that unless every single part of the dossier that was used in the FISA hearing was verified and corroborated separately prior to that hearing, then that hearing was improper and the warrant that issued was defective. How far the fruit of the poisoned tree extends is not something that I really know about at this point, but it is a issue. And "most of the big words look okay" doesn't solve the problem.

Actually 3 things have been corroborated.
1)Moscow is indeed in Russia.
2)Trump did visit Moscow.
3)Trump's team had a meeting with Russians at Trump Tower to get dirt on Cankles.

Here is the point that is getting missed. "Several things have been corroborated" is not good enough. "Several things have been corroborated" means that its use to support the FISA application was improper, that the FISA warrant was issued inappropriately, and that anything based on the FISA warrant is at least potentially fruit of the poisoned tree.

I wonder if the FISA judges read the warrants. They may have gotten lazy and were relying on the word of the senior FBI-DOJ agents presenting them. That, of course, has nothing to do with the suitability of using parts of the dossier in a FISA hearing. And I'm not aware of any instance where the dossier has played a major role in convicting anyone of anything.
